Etude House Tint My Brows Gel

If you haven’t seen my video review of Etude House’s Tint My Brows Gel, go on and check it out. It contains my first real reaction to using this product.

You can see the shock and I even said I regretted using this when I applied the gel tint on my first eyebrow. However, after it was all done and I removed the gel the next morning, I can honestly say it’s been such a lifesaver for me. I don’t have to spend time coloring in my eyebrows anymore! I really love this product!

Keep this on overnight for the best color result. It also lasts longer. The packaging will say to wait 2 hours, but I think waiting overnight creates a better color.

Etude House’s Tint My Brows Gel works well for most people unless you have really bushy eyebrows. This tints your skin and a bit of your eyebrow hair as well. Therefore, if you already have thick eyebrows, it won’t work because the gel tint will have a hard time reaching down to your skin. Also, this product works great if you have a steady hand. If you have difficulties drawing a straight line on paper, then I wouldn’t recommend using this product unless you practice a lot or have someone else do it for you.

I also recommend doing this after your have exfoliated your skin or have used a peeling gel. Having fresh skin will allow the gel to stick better onto your eyebrows, which will help the color last longer. Lastly, if you have oily skin, this product will work best after you have just washed your face and cleaned it off. If your skin is too oily, the gel may not stick to your skin well.

Etude House Tint My Brows Gel

Longevity: 10/10

I’ve tried this product twice and I would say the color lasts for about 5-7 days depending on how carefully you wash your face. You really should be careful not to wash your eyebrows with harsh cleaners to help the color last longer.

Application: 9/10

My initial thoughts were utter regret. However, once I calmed down and focused, it was very easy to use. Also, if you mess up a little, just use a little bit of water or makeup remover wetted cotton swab to remove the product from where it shouldn’t be. I even noticed I made a mistake once and removed it easily with a wetted cotton swab and I had already been waiting for about 5 minutes. You have to apply very quickly though and DON’T try to apply over where you already applied the product, or it will stick to the applicator. Just make sure you have applied enough of the product where it ought to be when you are initially applying it over one area.

Removability: 10/10

This DOES NOT come off. It’s great. Etude House’s Tint My Brows Gel really does its job. However, you need to follow the directions about the aftercare carefully. You shouldn’t use any cleansing product or apply force to your eyebrows for at least 24hrs after removing the gel tint. For the time period of waiting 24hrs, I used makeup remover on cotton pads to cleanse my face and then carefully rinsed off with water to avoid damaging my newly tinted eyebrows.

Packaging: 9/10

The directions on the box are amazing! Probably the clearest instructions you’ll get on a Korean beauty product. However, it doesn’t tell you how long your eyebrows will stay tinted. It doesn’t even give an estimated time.

Storage Tips

This can honestly be stored anywhere. However, it probably shouldn’t be kept somewhere where it is humid or hot.
