Why are lip tints such a big trend in Korea? There’s actually more to it than just giving color and shine. It actually provides light and natural looking color that will last all day long without being too thick around the skin and lip. Sometimes it’s better than lip gloss or lipstick, because lip tints are sheer and easy to apply!
Aritaum Style Pop Water Tint is a liquid type lip tint that gets into the lips like water, feels like water, and presents a natural color. I currently have the water tint in Cherry Rose (Water), and I prefer this kind because it is the sheerest pigmentation that is still good for giving reddish pigments on my lips.
When you first apply it though, you might be taken back by the heavy wateriness texture that is quite uncomfortable, because I was like that too in the beginning. But over time, you will see that it gets absorbed very quickly showing a profound tone of red the more you apply it. So the key is to get used to the applicator and see how the water tint goes into your lips like water. And I promise you that it will have a long lasting durability and won’t become too sticky or tacky at all!
One thing to keep in mind though is that since it absorbs too quickly, it might also set too quickly not giving enough time to blend out properly. Therefore, you need to dab the tint towards the center of your lips to prevent it from smearing or getting absorbed too fast. And depending on how much tint you layer over the lips will determine the level of pigmentation – from natural to deep red.
I think this water tint is perfect for high school students and college students who are interested in light makeup. It will help them portray a natural semi-makeup look with lips that are moisturizing and highly pigmented. So make sure to take a stab at it yourself to see if it works for you, too!
