What’s the secret to having a popular YouTube channel?

I do a lot of tutorials on celebrities’ trending makeup, so a lot of their fans greatly interested in makeup visit my page.

What’s the most difficult part of producing content material?

I tend to edit my work after I come home from school, which at most times last overnight. And time flies so quickly that it’s soon morning and I have to go to school even when I’m feeling really tired. So this is probably the most difficult part of producing content material.

What’s your plan in the future?

I am planing to produce YouTube content consistently more often. And if there is more time, I want to visit Korea once again.

What made you begin working as a creator?

I’ve been blogging beauty contents that related to Korean costumes and makeup for about 6 years, and I received a chance to be on ‘Get It Beauty’. Then I met a PD from CJ E&M PD who suggested that I should try making my own videos. And since then, I’ve been creating my own video content from 2014 to present.

What was the most popular content?

Either Elsa’s makeup from Frozen or high school makeup that is light and natural.

What’s the secret to having a popular YouTube channel?

Aside from being a plain makeup tutorial, my channel includes fun and entertaining videos. For example, ‘transforming your brother to a girl makeup’ or ‘money makeup’ can be watched for fun without being deeply interested in makeup or anything beauty related.

What’s the most difficult part of producing content material?

I’ve been taking on diverse roles for the past 2 years, and that has given me enormous experience and useful tips to running my YouTube channel, which isn’t that hard anymore. The only difficult thing would be the fact that I don’t have any time off from work.

I was an average employee working for a company, but now I am focusing solely on being a beauty creator. It was boring just traveling back and forth from work and home. What’s the most difficult part of producing content material?

I currently run 3 beauty channels on YouTube: main beauty channel ‘Employee A’, casual lifestyle channel ‘Employee B’ and beauty channel targeting Japanese fans ‘Employee J’. My fans are waiting, so I have to make at least 30 minutes for editing the videos. But if I have other works to take care of, it makes editing my YouTube channels very difficult.

What’s your plan in the future?

I’m not the type of person to plan my ultimate dream, because we make goals every day and take care of problems on a daily basis.

I majored in engineering in college, so I’ve been very used to having a lot of homework and projects and staying up all night. So working on my beauty blog and YouTube was much easier. I even gave up some of my weekend to create my content and finalize the work, but it was still fun. I believe that doing something I love the most is the best way to become happy and have the most fun and adventurous life.

What’s the secret to having a popular YouTube channel?

I have also learned to put on makeup by other YouTube stars, so I try to take into consideration of all my viewers and apply it in my content creation. I regularly check the comments section and provide quick feedback so that people can learn quickly and most effectively.

What’s the most difficult part of producing content material?

I want to show a variety of appearances in my video, it’s hard because I’m the only one recording the video. So I sometimes worry about my followers losing interest or having irrelavent content material.

I often make many short term goals for one day, week, and month, so I tend to get a lot of satisfaction. I hope to make more progress abroad and work with famous beauty creators in the future, but as of now, I wish to focus on my individual content and quality of my videos.
