Eat your veggies!
Infinity Challenge Episode 471 was an extended segment of Episode 470, with the crew having an ‘emergency meeting’ with winter coming to an end. Korean variety TV shows are faced with an annual issue where their episodes’ ratings drop dramatically during spring when the weather starts getting warmer, down coats are stored away, and the flowers are in full bloom.
Yoo Jae Suk, Park Myung Soo, Haha, Jeong Jun Ha, and Kwanghee puts together an action plan of ‘arresting’ all the spring vegetables they can find. They went out into the streets, bought a bunch of spring vegetables to be prepped and cooked at a restaurant for the entire staff to eat. It was literally a vegetable buffet as the main dishes and pork belly BBQ as a side dish.
Tables were turned as the viewers ended up learning about these 6 vegetables: what kind of dishes are formed and health benefits per vegetable.
In Korean culture, whether at home or at a restaurant, you will see a series of side dishes (vegetables and kimchi) on the table, as part of any dish you order – which are free of charge.
